NFL Kickoff 2014-2015
by Amin
The 2014-2015 NFL season is starting to heat up. Broncos are unleashing a dominating defense. Browns drafted Johnny Manziel, who was a big plus to the Browns. The Vikings drafted quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He filled in some sorely needed talent in that position for the Vikings. However, he has already had to sit one game out due to injury. The Seahawks’ Golden Tate was traded to Detroit.
Now let’s get on to some of the most interesting games and scores. In week 4, the Chiefs smoked the Patriots 41-14. Chiefs’ cornerback Husain Abdullah intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it for a touchdown. Impressive! Keep an eye out for the Chiefs this year. They mean business.
The Sunday night special that was served in week 4 was a Super Bowl rematch. The Broncos were ready to get their revenge for the walloping they suffered in the big game back in February. Based on everything we’ve seen so far this year, the Seahawks are poised to take it all the way to the Super Bowl. But the game between the Broncos and the Seahawks was tight! The Seahawks jumped to victory as they scored in overtime. The rivalry is still on though. In the first game of the entire season, the Packers got roasted 36-16 by the Seahawks in Seattle.
When the Falcons played the Saints, Matt Ryan threw a 73-yard pass for a touchdown, winning the game. The Colts lost to the Broncos in week 3, but Andrew Luck threw an amazing touchdown pass to Marvin Harrison right over the cornerback! Touchdown!
The Packers vs the Vikings on Thursday night was the best of the season!!! (In my accurate opinion). In the first half, they planned a pitch to Eddie Lacy for the play and it went perfectly! Eddie Lacy bulldozed to the end zone gaining the first touchdown for the Packers. The Packers defense was unstoppable! Clay Matthews faked a tackle and the defensive end came up to Ponder and sacked him making it fourth down! That sure gave him something to ponder. The Vikings punted… The punt returner ran for 52 yards. Blue 46…Set...HIKE! Aaron Rodgers was looking for Jordy. He threw a whopping 63-yard touchdown to Nelson! Oh Nelly! And after a while...Pick Six baby! Julius Peppers snatched it out of the air and ran it in for a touchdown leaving the score 35-0!
In the second half, Aaron Rodgers threw a pass to Randall Cobb in the end zone, giving the Vikings a rough day. And Eddie Lacy… HOLY COW!!!! On his way to the endzone again he trucked a cornerback so hard his helmet fell off! Now it’s just getting embarrassing... And the Touchdowns kept coming… and coming… wearing the Vikings out. Rodgers sat out the final quarter and the Vikings scored a little… Ending the game 42-10!
That better teach the NFL that Packers rule baby!
